Family Reunion

I absolutely love these gals. We all go back to elementary school, and even now with completely different lives- even Sully living across the state- we still manage to love and laugh with one another. Real friendship right there. How much I cherish each one of them. All three of them are so beautiful. I have so much to be thankful for and so many blessings to count.

Winter Weather

Today I got lunch with a couple of old friends, Courtney and Johanna. It was so fun catching up and laughing too hard to chew our food. Not to mention these two are a couple of babes. We just got to hang out and enjoy each other's company and brace the abrupt cold weather together. Great day. Afterwards I got together with my three favorite siblings, the Tews, for a fun little photoshoot! I'm really excited about this one. Keep checking back for some sneak peeks!

Like Flowers At Last

Today I was planning on shooting with two of my closest friends, Sara and Katherine Christian. Yes they're gorgeous; yes they're twins. It was going to be awesome. But sadly, Father Winter decided to pull a fast one on our 70-degree winter. For all of you non-Wilmies, it was freezing and ice-raining all day and we were left with no place to take cover besides Barnes & Noble. It was fun though! We caught up, celebrated the completion of our first semesters of college, and laughed, laughed, laughed. Company with these two is always good company. This next week I'll be traveling on vacation with my family so get excited for some sweet photos ops Third Sun style! Cheers to Winter Break!

Taking Time

Reflecting back, this has been such a long, eventful week. Last weekend feels like it was two weekends ago. It was a good week though, with its ups and downs; both necessary for a well-rounded, character defining week. I was even able to manage to squeeze in time to visit with some close friends. But boy am I glad to take today to escape to Raleigh! It'll be my first road trip on my own. I'm a little nervous, but more excited to have the option to pull over at any given point to document the beauties I come across during my travels. I'll be posting that one as soon as possible for you guys! In the meantime, here's a little re-cap of my week so far:

The Scoop

Today I was able to enjoy some time getting lunch with my friends Katherine and Erika. We went to The Scoop in the Cotton Exchange in Downtown Wilmington. We all got different kinds of hotdogs; mine being the Taco Dawg, also being delicious. They also had some interesting flavors of ice cream and milkshakes. Katherine wants to try their famous Bacon Shake, however I'm a little apprehensive! It was nice getting to pile into the little shop and get out of the cold weather and embrace each other's company. On top of the friends and lunch, I was able to play around with my new lens! I love, love, love it and I've already got some shoots coming up to make use of it! So keep checking back for those in the upcoming weeks; you don't want to miss it!

Good Friends, Hot Nails

I am obsessed with my nails right now! One of my best friends, Katherine, painted them for me a few nights ago. See, I am absolutely terrible at painting my nails. It takes too long to paint them; it takes too long for them to dry, and I hate how those stupid little brushes always smear the polish I've already painted. But see Katherine, she loves doing nails. And thank God she loves doing mine! Before I went to her house to celebrate her and her twin sister Sara's (who's also one of my best friends, and talented at everything as well. LOVE YOU GURL.) birthday I already had hopes that she'd bust out the shellac and get to it. Then I remembered it was their birthday and not mine, and I was too poor to buy them presents... Anyway, it all worked out in the end. Katherine painted my nails so sick with matte black and shiny black tips which is my favorite. She even dolled it up by adding single gold glitter(s?) to the bases of each nail. So what I'm saying is it was basically my birthday! Katherine is also an artist and she's so so talented. I don't think she's has a site for her work, but I'll be including a link to her sister Sara's YouTube page. Sara is a musician and has such a pretty voice. You should definitely check her out and Subscribe to her channel! If I'm not mistaken there's also a few videos of both Sara and Katherine singing together. Literally there's nothing these girls aren't good at. Go love them!

When Seagulls Attack

It was our first beach day of the year! We didn't take pictures of the exciting stuff, like the bike ride there, jumping in the freezing ocean, or running around like idiots; but here's pictures of us eating our snacks.

Now, wasn't that fun?

Grasslands

Sorry I've been so slack this week guys. I've been sick all week, and on top of that this week has been the busiest week I've had since the new year! However, I did get to take some time out to enjoy chasing the sun down with my friends and their pups.

Let Light Fall

Abby and I had a blast playing with my new lighting last night. We didn't realize that over two hours had gone by!
