Drops In The River

It's early Monday morning and I'm in a restless and sleepy stupor. Time passes quickly but effortlessly slow. Eyes blur and memory jogs. Remember that night on the balcony? Frustrated at the lack of depth in our speech. Wanting and wishing for life with feeling. Found but not noticed. How childlike; our ignorance- the very lives we dreamed of were the very lives we already had. How hard we worked to embrace the already possessed. As if holding a gift in one hand but expecting it to appear in the other. How silly we were; I only see now. I'm glad for that night, and for this night to see it. 

On the shore, speak to the ocean and receive silence
Only you, only you, you know.

Youth In Revolt

Ah, at last. How great are these three? The Tews are an absolute dream to work with. Shooting with them is effortless and inspiring. And I must point out that these three styled themselves completely. They're too good! Hope you enjoy!

P.S. In other news, I'm at a point where I'm sort of at an "in between" with everything. I'm still figuring some things out, but I think Third Sun will be shifting gears here in the near future. Not sure what exactly that shift will look like but I just wanted to share with you all where I'm at! Also, earlier this week a friend and fellow photographer of mine, Juliet Furst, and I got together and shot each other! BANG! New Toy!

Hello hello everyone! I've got some very exciting news. For starters, today is January 14th and I wore shorts today! The weather has been amazing! I am love love loving it. And for more exciting news (drumroll please) when I came home today I had a brand spanking new Wacom Bamboo tablet waiting for me! I'm absolutely terrible at writing on it so far, but I'm determined to get the hang of it! This opens up so many new doors for me and my editing and I'm so stoked about it! This year's gonna be a big one. Here's my first attempt ever at using my new baby; I used an old shot that I'm gaga over of the beautiful Janna Tew. I'm sorry my flowers suck. Although it looks like an eight year old's doodles I'm excited about it. An a disclaimer or fun fact, however you choose to interpret it: I probably should have read the manual first. Teehee.

Pink Flamingos

I kicked off my October with my new favorite photoshoot! Janna (my model) and I shot at the cutest little motel I have ever seen in Wilmington. It was super Cali- neon signs, pink flamingos, you get it- and I had been dying to shoot there ever since I found it last spring. Everything was bubblegum pink, teal, and white so we decided to edge it up with head-to-toe black dresses from Nasty Gal and MINKPINK, two of my top choices for online shopping. When I first met Janna, I instantly fell in love with her sense of style. She is Alexa Chung meets Elizabeth Olsen and was so natural in front of the camera. And she's only 13. Hold. up. Whaaat?? Yep, she's officially the coolest young person I have ever met. This girl is going to go far, and lucky little me got to shoot her! I'll definitely be looking forward to working with her again soon. In the meantime, swoon over these shots I snagged of Janna last weekend.
